Records and vinyl collectibles with an emphasis on New Zealand and Japanese pressings.
Moonhop have been selling records internationally for over 20 years. Since 2000, we have partnered with local record store - Lo Cost Records. Chas manages the online store for both Moonhop and Lo Cost, while business partner, Murray looks after the physical shop that is located in Petone, New Zealand. Together, their collection is over 20,000! With the new surge of popularity, they now stock new records as well as good old used singles, LPs and cassettes.
Chas was a regular writer for "Record Collector" magazine's "Digging For Gold" column (a long time ago!)
He was also the original drummer for Wellington punk band, The Ambitious Vegetables and Kiwi popsters, The Mockers, as well as a key member of 90's skasters, Skapa.
Chas travels to Japan often to search for records. Moonhop Records has a small office in Japan where some of the stock is stored and shipped to customers.
